The Texas Apartment Association's professional awards program honors outstanding individuals who exemplify high standards in their field, strive for excellence and serve their communities and their profession by participating actively in their local apartment associations.
Affordable Housing Community of the Year Award
This award recognizes affordable housing communities and companies that go above and beyond to serve their residents and communities. Honorees demonstrate exceptional commitment through creative resident programs and services, innovative partnerships with local governments, neighborhoods, or community organizations, and initiatives that support individuals experiencing homelessness, veterans, or people with disabilities.
Association Executive of the Year
This award recognizes outstanding leadership and dedication among local apartment association executives across Texas. Applicants will be asked to provide information about their professional achievements, contributions to the association management profession, and community involvement.
Mike Clark Supplier Partner Company of the Year Award
This statewide award recognizes supplier partner companies that provide exceptional service and support to the Texas rental housing industry while demonstrating active involvement at the local, state, and national levels.
Olin Steele Lifetime Achievement Award
The Olin Steele Lifetime Achievement Award honors an industry supplier whose career reflects long-term leadership, professional excellence, and outstanding service to the Texas rental housing industry.
Awards Presentation
Winners will be recognized at the 2027 TAA ONE Conference & Expo in San Antonio, April 27-29, 2027.
General Eligibility
Nominees must be employed by or affiliated with a current TAA member company or local apartment association, as applicable.
Nominees must work in Texas.
Previous recipients are not eligible to receive the same award more than once unless otherwise noted in the award-specific criteria.
